Zoning Board of Appeals

The regular monthly meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by Robert Goetsch at 7:00 pm.

 

The minutes from the previous meeting, 9/22/05, were approved on a motion made by Tina King and seconded by George Ianson.

Vote: Approved, 6-0 (Mary Lou Doulin was not yet present)

 

Hague Volunteer Fire Department (25.1-1-16) West Hague Rd. OC1

Cathy Clark informed the group the matter has been tabled until the November meeting, at the request of the applicants.

 

Beaty, (26.18-1-1.2) Lakeshore Dr. TR1

* Mary Lou Doulin arrived at 7:06 pm.

 

The Beatys wish to replace their summer home with a year round residence. Preliminary drawings were reviewed. After much discussion the application was determined to be incomplete, on a motion heard from Tina King and seconded by Mary Lou Doulin.

Vote: Approved, 6-1

Ayes: King, Doulin, Fitzgerald, Ianson, Mydlarz, Pittman

Nay: Goetsch

 

The applicants were requested to provide a drawing specific to the plans, with final calculations and the requested variances listed on the application.

 

A Site Visit was scheduled for 10/29/05 at 1 pm.

 

Other business

Square footage - Cathy Clark has received a response from the APA concerning the confusion about the definition of square footage, (letter from Brian Grisi to Cathy Clark, dated 9/28/05). It was agreed that the definition of square footage in Section 160-10, as it relates to shoreline setback, should be eliminated.

 

Conflict of Interest information was distributed to Board members.

 

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the November meeting was rescheduled for the 17th.

 

Motion to adjourn:

The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm on a motion made by Martin Fitzgerald and seconded by Tina King.
