SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

April 5, 2011

4:00 pm

Members present:  Supervisor Belden, E. Frasier, R. Gladu, R. Meola, and M. Martucci.

Also present Donny Smith, Highway Superintendent.

Supervisor Belden opened the meeting at 4:00 pm.

Motion by M. Martucci, seconded by R. Gladu to appoint E. Frasier as Acting Clerk for the purpose of recording minutes.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

Motion by M. Martucci, seconded by R. Gladu to go into executive session for a personnel issue.  All voting yes.  Motion carried. 

Motion by M. Martucci, seconded by R. Gladu to go out of executive session at 4:15 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

No decisions made.  The Town Board then met with Donny Smith, Highway Superintendent.

Motion by M. Martucci, seconded by R. Gladu to go back into executive session at 4:20 pm.  for a personnel issue. All voting yes.  Motion carried.

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by to go out of executive session at 4:45 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

Based on recommendations by our Attorney in letter dated March 25, 2011 a meeting will be set up with the personnel committee and Daniel Steitz.

The Board agreed that Daniel Steitz would set up an appointment with Adirondack Cardiologist.  Further the Board is authorizing a two week paid medical leave until we get a response from the cardiologist.

The Board will check the Employee Manual regarding physicals.  Perhaps more frequent physicals are needed for employee’s who drive town vehicles. 

Motion by M. Martucci seconded by R. Meola to adjourn meeting at 5:00 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
