HAGUE TOWN BOARD MEETING

OCTOBER 5, 2010

MEMBERS PRESENT:         Supervisor Belden       E. Frasier

                                                R. Meola

Supervisor Belden and M. Martucci met with a representative from TD Insurance Company.  They discussed Health Insurance options and the percentage of increase to Health Insurance plan.

Councilman Gladu met with Michael Farrell from Vision Engineering & Highway Superintendent Smith at the Highway Garage to discuss the Hague Highway Garage Site Cleanup Project.

At 2:45 pm the entire Board spoke with Mr. Farrell on the Cleanup project.  The bids received on September 30, 2010 and were reviewed by Vision Engineering’s Attorney. 

Three bids were received for the Highway Garage Site Cleanup Project:

MC Environmental:    $112,615.84

Santos:                                    $106,908.00

Zebra-Tech:                 $106,497.00

Vision Engineer proposed that the Hague Town Board should accept the low bidder, which was Zebra Tech, in the amount of $106,497.00.

Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by R. Gladu to accept the low bid of Zebra Tech to conduct the Town of Hague Highway Department Clean-up project, in the amount of $106,497.00.

 AYES:  Supervisor Belden, E. Frasier, R. Gladu, M. Martucci, and R. Meola.  Motion carried.  A formal resolution will be passed at the Regular monthly meeting of the Town Board on 10/12/10.

Michael Farrell will send a Notice of Award document to be signed by the Supervisor.  A Maintenance Plan will be sent to the Highway Superintendent and the Town Board.  The Board will review and discuss the regulator separator at Highway.

The Board thanked Michael Farrell for meeting with them.

The Town Clerk presented the Tentative Budget to the Board.

The Board discussed the Health Insurance increase.  The Company is projecting an increase of approximately 16%.  This will increase the family coverage by approximately $300.00 per month and the single coverage by approximately $150.00 per month.  The Board discussed the possibility of each employee receiving health insurance benefits to pay for ½ or a share of the increase to their insurance coverage.  The Board will have a spread sheet compiled showing the cost of the benefits to each employee.  They need to be aware of their complete package.

The next Budget Workshop will be held on October 14, 2010 at 3:00 pm.

The Public Hearing on the Budget is scheduled for October 28, 2010 at 6:30 pm.

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by R. Meola to go into executive session at 3:30 pm to discuss a personnel issue.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

The Board discussed a personnel issue and made recommendations on how to handle it.   

Motion by M. Martucci, seconded by R. Gladu to close the executive session at 3:45 pm and return to the open meeting.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by M. Martucci to adjourn meeting at 3:46 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
