SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

October 5, 2009

3:00 pm

Members present:  Supervisor Belden, E. Frasier, R. Gladu, R. Meola, and M. Martucci.

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by E. Frasier to open the meeting at 3:00 pm.  E. Frasier will being Acting Clerk for the purpose of recording minutes.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

The purpose of the meeting is to go over the 2010 Budget.  R. Meola insisted that Supervisor Belden take the budget back and submit it with his recommendations provided for in the Town Law.

Discussion followed on several topics.

Sewer fee #1 does not fit with O/M.

Health Insurance:  It was motioned by R. Meola, seconded by E. Frasier that effective November 1, 2009, any town elected official who has served as an elected official continually for ten (10) years and concurrently employed by the Town of Hague on a part time basis will be eligible for single health insurance coverage on the Town’s health insurance plan. All voting yes.  Motion carried.

The consensus of the Board was to pay the increase in health insurance this year and give all employees a 3% raise.  Insurance will be capped effective 1/1/11 at the 2010 rate.

Discussion on need for custodian and how to deal with possible custodial contract service.

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by R. Gladu to adjourn meeting at 4:15 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
