HAGUE TOWN BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

FEBRUARY 26, 2008

4:00 PM

 

 

Members present:  Supervisor Belden, E. Frasier, R. Meola, and M. Martucci.

 

Also present:  Attorney Dominick Viscardi.

 

Absent:  R. Gladu.

 

Supervisor Belden open the special meeting at 4:00 p.m.

 

Councilman Meola addressed the Board on procedures of special meetings.  Each member of the Town Board should be contacted prior to the scheduling of a special meeting.

 

The Town Board received a letter and photographs on February 21, 2008 from a concerned relative.  They would like the Town Board to act as the Board of Health in deciding if a relative’s home is fit for human habitation.

 

Motion by M. Martucci and seconded E. Frasier to go into executive session at 4:10 pm to discuss the letter received on February 21, 2008.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

The Board reviewed the photographs.

 

Motion by E. Frasier seconded by M. Martucci to return to open session at 4:50 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

The Town Board reviewed the notice requesting an Audit of the Towns Books.  Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by R. Meola to publish notice in the Post Star and Times of Ti.  Sealed proposals are due on March 27, 2008 @ 3pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by E. Frasier to give the Fish & Game Club permission to use the Visitor Center March 8 & 9, 2008.  The bathrooms will remain closed.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by M. Martucci that upon the advice of the Town Attorney, the Town Board acting as the Board of Health will conduct a personal inspection of the home on parcel #59.20-1-7 to see if the conditions warrant any action.  The Board will meet at 9:30 am on February 28, 2008.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by R. Meola to adjourn meeting at 5:05 pm.  The meeting will reconvene at 9:30 am on February 28, 2008.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

Supervisor Belden reopened the meeting on February 28, 2008 at 9:30 am.  The Board acting as the Board of Health conducted a personal inspection of the home.  Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by M. Martucci that the Town Board acting as the Board of Health declare that the house on parcel #59.20-1-7 is not fit for human occupancy and will have the premises secured until further order of the Town’s Board of Health.  AYES:  Supervisor Belden, E. Frasier, M. Martucci, and R. Meola.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by E. Frasier to adjourn meeting at 10:30 am.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
