TOWN OF HAGUE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 2008 PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF HAGUE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget for the Town of Hague for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008, including general town funds, highway funds, fire protection, light & sewer district funds, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Hague, 9793 Graphite Mountain Road, Hague, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during regular office hours.
The Town Board of the Town of Hague shall hold a public hearing on said preliminary budget on the 30th day of October 2007 at 6:30 pm, showing such changes, alterations, and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board of the Town of Hague. At such hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any items therein contained.

Motion by Supervisor Belden, seconded by E. Frasier that the Town Board will pass a resolution to add an additional $200,000.00 of sales tax revenue to the $300,000.00 left at the County to reduce the County tax. All voting yes. Motion carried.
Mr. Meola believes that the Budget should reflect where the $200,000 is going.
The following changes were made to the Preliminary Budget:
County Sales Tax: $200,000.00
Attorney McNally: $4,000.00
Attorney Viscardi: $23,000
Fire Dept.: $226,800
Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by A. Steitz to close the Public Hearing at 7:50 pm. All voting yes. Motion carried.
