SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

AUGUST 2, 2007

11:00 AM

 

Members present:  Supervisor Belden, R. Gladu, and A. Steitz.

Absent:  E. Frasier and M. Martucci.

Also present:  Cathy Clark, ZEO

 

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by A. Steitz to open the special meeting at 11:00 am.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.

 

The purpose of scheduling this meeting on such short notice is to schedule a public hearing on the White’s Septic Variance, tax map # (93.12-1-34).  

 

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by A. Steitz to rescind the motion made by the Town Board on July 10, 2007 due to a procedural violation that no public hearing was scheduled.  AYES:  Supervisor Belden, R. Gladu, and A. Steitz.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by A. Steitz, seconded by R. Gladu that the Hague Town Board serving as the Local Board of Health will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 beginning at 6:00 pm in the Hague Community Center, 9793 Graphite Mt. Rd., Hague, NY to consider the following septic variance request.

White (93.12-1-34) 7967 Lakeshore Drive (TR-1)

Applicant is requesting a variance for a Gravity Distribution Mound Septic System.  The variance requested is due to a 16% slope of grade, a less than allowable natural soil depth, and the distance of separation from the leaching system to a dwelling.  A retaining wall will be needed to contain the fill of the system.  The engineered design of the leach system will be a combination of Peat Fibre Bio filters and Eljen in drain laterals.

The records regarding the above project(s) are available for review at the Hague Community Center, 9793 Graphite Mt. Rd., Hague, NY. Persons wishing to appear at such hearing may do so in person, by attorney, or other representative. Communications may be filed with the Clerk’s office of the Town of Hague.  Written comments must be received by August 10, 2007. 

AYES:  Supervisor Belden, A. Steitz, and R. Gladu.  Motion carried.

 

All property owners within 500 ft of the project will be contacted.

 

The Town Board also approved a new Parking Violation form, warning owners of boats or vehicles that they are in violation and any repeat violation will result in a citation.

 

Motion by A. Steitz, seconded by R. Gladu to adjourn meeting at 11:45 am.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
