SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

The Enhancement Committee discussed the placing of name plaques on the hanging baskets. It was suggested to do a hanging Memory Plaque with a listing of names that will be encased and displayed at the Legion building.
The Town Board will hire someone to water and fertilize the flower baskets next summer.
The work on the Christmas Baskets will begin on November 27, 2006 @ 9:30 am.
Jarrett Tatich gave a presentation on the Waterfront Park Walkway at the Town Boat Launch. The presentation was based on the site walk that the Town Board and Enhancement Committee had last month.

Pedestrian walkway with amenities, approximately 10 feet wide,
and 150 feet in length.
·
Removal of the existing asphalt to accommodate installation of
the new walkway (brown trex to be installed).
·
Benches, trash receptacles, lights (round bollard lights), and
flag moved to the point.
· Landscape plantings.
It was also agreed that there is a need for landscaping improvements around the guard shack.
The Enhancement Committee and the Town Board agreed that Brookside Park should be named Veteran’s Park.
A survey has been completed on the Legion property. The survey showed that the State’s right of way is 25 feet from The Hague Brook. The Legion porch is on the right of way. Supervisor Belden will contact the State to see if they will grant the Town an easement or give the Town the property. The surveyor, Mr. Nestor will also be doing a topographical map of the Legion property.
Supervisor Belden and Marty Fitzgerald will meet to take measurements of the building.
There will be outdoor seating, a walkway with pedestrian bridge, seasonal plantings picnic tables and a memorial monument.
The projects should be done by Memorial Day.
Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by R/ Gladu to authorize Supervisor Belden to sign contract with Elan Planners for services to prepare construction documentation for the following two projects: (1) Waterfront Park Walkway Improvements and (2) Construction of Brookside Park in the amount of $26,500.00 with minimal expenses for phone, printing, copying, filing fees, and transmitting of various documents. All voting yes. Motion carried.
Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by E. Frasier that the Chamber of Commerce will pay $168.43 and the Town of Hague will pay $168.43 toward the cost of the Children’s Christmas party. All voting yes. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION #85 OF 2006
RESOLUTION TO MOVE MONEY FROM THE MUSEUM FUND TO THE HAGUE HISTORICAL SOCIETY
RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY R. GLADU, AND SECONDED BY E. FRASIER
WHEREAS, the former Clifton West Hague Historical Museum Committee held a fund raiser in 2005 to begin the process of cataloging and preservation of photo’s, signs, tools and other artifacts, and
WHEREAS, there is $3,527.00 left in the Museum account from the 2005 fund raiser, and
WHEREAS, in 2006 the Clifton West Hague Historical Museum Committee was abolished and the Hague Historical Society has begun this project, NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Hague authorizes the Supervisor to give the Hague Historical Society the remainder of the $3,527.00 from the museum account.
DULY ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
AYES: Supervisor Belden, R. Gladu, and E. Frasier.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: A. Steitz and T. LaPointe.
Motion by E. Frasier, seconded by R. Gladu to adjourn meeting at 4:20 pm. All voting yes. Motion carried.
