SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

JULY 29, 2005

Also present:              R. Goetsch, ZBA Chairman

                                    D. Swanson, Planning Board Chairman

The purpose of the meeting was to continue the interview of Frank Slycord, candidate for the ZEO position.

The meeting was opened by Supervisor Belden at 12:32 pm.

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by L. Megow to go into executive session.  AYES:  Supervisor Belden, R. Gladu, L. Megow, R. Meola and R. Patchett.  Motion carried.

Mr. Slycord left the interim at 1:10 pm, the group continued the discussion.

Motion by R. Patchett, seconded by L. Megow to close the executive session and return to open session at 1:30 pm.  AYES:  Supervisor, R. Gladu, L. Megow, R. Meola and R. Patchett

Motion by R. Gladu, seconded by R. Meola to appoint Catherine Clark to the position of ZEO.

AYES:  R. Gladu, and R. Meola.

NAYS:  Supervisor Belden, L. Megow and R. Patchett.

Motion denied.

Motion by Supervisor Belden, seconded by R. Gladu to appoint Richard Hourigan to the position of ZEO.

AYES:  Supervisor Belden.

NAYS:  R. Gladu, R. Meola, R. Patchett and L. Megow.

Motion denied.

Motion by R. Patchett, seconded by L. Megow to appoint Frank Slycord to the position of ZEO effective 8/3/2005.  Terms and conditions of employment listed on 7/25/2005 memo apply.

AYES:  R. Gladu, R. Meola, R. Patchett, L. Megow and Supervisor Belden.  Motion carried.

Motion by R. Patchett, seconded by L. Megow to adjourn meeting at 1:40 pm.  All voting yes.  Motion carried.
