PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET

Supervisor Belden opened the meeting at 6:30 pm.
The Town Clerk read the notice of hearing published in the Post Star on October 21, 2004.
Supervisor Belden reviewed the proposed 2005 preliminary budget.
Effective with the 2005 budget, members of the Planning and Zoning Boards will be paid $25.00 only for validly convened board meetings. A site review meeting presence will not be paid this honorarium.
Cost associated with Town of Hague Clean up Day if held will be paid out of the budget.
RESOLUTION #73 OF 2004
RESOLUTION TO INCREASE TOWNS SHARE OF SALES TAX TO BE APPLIED TO THE COUNTY BUDGET.
Resolution introduced by Supervisor Belden and seconded by L. Megow
WHEREAS, the Hague Town Board is desirous of reducing the County Tax Rate for
the Town of Hague for the fiscal year 2005, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board will amend the Town Budget for fiscal year 2004 by
increasing sales tax revenue (A1120) in the general fund by $200,000 and
increase appropriations A1972.40 - payment to the treasurer to reduce tax
by $200,000, AND, BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby directed to issue a check in the amount of
$200,000 to the Warren County Treasurer to reduce the fiscal year 2005
county tax rate.
DULY ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
AYES: Supervisor Belden, L. Megow, R. Meola and R. Gladu.
Motion carried.
This will result in a total of $500,000 dollars to be applied to the county tax.
Sewer User fee will be $400.00 for the year 2005.

Town: $0.00
Street Light: $0.109
Fire & Ambulance: $0.438
Motion by R. Meola, seconded by L. Megow to adopt the 2005 Town Budget with changes incorporated (Resolution #73 of 2005). All voting yes. Motion carried.
Motion by R. Meola, seconded by L. Megow to adjourn meeting at 7:55 pm. All voting yes. Motion carried.
