TOWN BOARD MEETING

AUDIT BOOKS

JANUARY 27, 2004

Supervisor Belden opened the meeting at 4:05 pm.

Members present: Supervisor Belden, W. Bothe, and R. Meola.

Also present: Donald Smith, Highway Superintendent

Absent: L. Megow and R. Gladu.

The Board discussed with the Highway Superintendent the policy that was on the books for Health coverage for the elected Highway Superintendent.

The Board reviewed the current policy of providing health insurance for elected officials with D. Smith. The policy states that only elected or appointed officials who were in office prior to 12/31/1982 will receive health insurance. Further, as of 01/01/1996 the Town will provide 100% Individual coverage to the Highway Superintendent. D. Smith explained that when he started with the Town 23 years ago he had a waiting period of 90 days before he could receive insurance.

Motion by Supervisor Belden, seconded by W. Bothe to extend the Highway Superintendents Health Insurance for 90 days (Jan 1, 2004 – March 31, 2004). The full Board will review the possibility of family coverage and will get back in touch with D. Smith. All voting yes. Motion carried.

The Board reviewed the Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Sewer Collector and Justice books for 2003.

Motion by R. Meola, seconded by Supervisor Belden to accept the Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Sewer Collector and Justice Books for the year 2003. All voting yes. Motion carried.

Motion by W. Bothe, seconded by R. Meola to adjourn meeting at 5:15 pm. All voting yes. Motion carried.
