Town of Hague Planning Board

Members present: Chairman David Swanson, Rolly Allen, John Brown, Pam Peterson

 

Members absent: Peter Foster, E.J. Siwek (one vacancy)

 

Also attending: Zoning Enforcement Officer Catherine Clark,

            Town Attorney Dominic Viscardi, Recording secretary Nancy Young

 

Call to order

David Swanson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

 

Minutes

After introductions, the following changes were made to the minutes from the 9/6/2007 meeting:

            Brown (60.5-1-19)

paragraph 2, second sentence: changed “exhaust fan” to oil heater exhaust

paragraph 3, Further discussion – “exhaust fan” changed to oil heater exhaust

 

John Brown moved, and Rolly Allen seconded a motion to approve the amended minutes.

Vote: Carried 4-0

Ayes: Allen, Brown, Peterson, Swanson

 

New business

Gorelik, (60.13-1-6) 35 Red Fox Lane  TR-1

The applicant is applying for a 12 ft x 60 ft. open deck addition. If approved the deck will be 53 ft. from the lake. Currently the house is located 65 ft. from the shoreline.

Planning Board issue: 160-23 C (g) new construction within 100 ft of the shoreline

 

Cathy Clark gave a brief review of the proposal. Original plans for the home, built approximately 20 years ago, included a deck that was never built.

 

A Site Visit was scheduled for 9:00 am on 10/12/2007. Ms. Clark will check with the contractor to see if any tree cutting is planned.

 

Other business

• Several property owners from Overbrook Road and Overbrook Lane appeared before the Board to express concern about the construction of a single family dwelling currently underway on Tract #44. They presented a petition, dated 8/30/2007 outlining their concerns. (See Attachment #1)

• David Swanson bid farewell to those in attendance. Fellow Board members, Councilman Gladu and Town Attorney Viscardi expressed their appreciation for his many years of dedicated service to the Town.
